The Winning Peasants 2011
Huge congratulation to The Peasant who won the Smokefree National Final in Hamilton last weekend. They have been highly praised for their music and performance by a panel of NZ music industry professionals and are over the next month working with Ashley Page (Manager of Kids of 88 and The Wild etc.) recording a single at York St. Studios in Auckland and filming a music video. The band had an amazing weekend performing their music, meeting up with friends The Good Fun (last years winners) and Massad and meeting heaps of new musos. While up there the band were mentored by Dane Rumble, Shihad and Kids of 88. The Peasants want to once again thank everyone who travelled to Hamilton to support them and are still amazed at the huge crowd who gathered to meet them at the airport with a Haka and the singing of the school song!!
