Garin Kapa Kaka Group – kino ke!

In March 2012, Garin’s Kapa Haka group, comprising of 26 students, participated in their very first performance in front of a crowd at the Kete Taonga event hosted by Waimea College.

Despite being new to kapa haka, the students really stepped up to pull off a truly awesome performance (which they get NCEA credits for!)

Tutor Matua Tom welcomed them to the stage and introduced the newcomers who were given a rousing reception by the crowd. The students were outstanding ambassadors for Garin in every aspect of their performance and behaviour on the day and I felt very proud to be associated with the group.

To the team…ngā mihi nui ki a koutou, nā Mrs Aronsten.
