Garin Fun Run


In the first week of May  we had the annual Garin Fun Run around the college and the Saxton grounds surrounding us. We were very impressed with how much effort the whole school put in and the enthusiasm they had for getting out of the classroom to participate in physical activity with their friends. Sport and physical activity helps you be healthier, happier and create better connections to other people. We believe that being active and healthy can help with your sporting skills, fitness and health, but can also improve your social skills and help you focus better at school. Because of this, we introduced a 2km walking option to the Fun Run this year to encourage everyone to join in, be active and have fun. This was successful and the students said they enjoyed being able to choose which component suited them best.
