We have a very experienced international staff.

  • Our director of International students, Diana Murdoch, takes responsibility for the overall management of the programme and is responsible for the pastoral care of all our international students
  • A language teacher
  • A homestay coordinator
  • A teacher assistant to work with students in mainstream classes
  • An administrator who helps with visas and general questions

More About Our Team

Diana Murdoch has worked with international students for 17 years.  She loves being part of the education of young people and she is the Director of the International Student Programme.  Diana also has 2 children of her own and can understand how difficult it is to send your child to another country to study.

This is Denise Gerrish our International Administrator. She has worked with international Denise Gerrishstudents for more than 15 years. She helps the student with any questions they have, organises payment of fees, visas, and any other general questions. Denise is also a mother of a 12 year old girl and 14 year old boy. 

  This is Jacqui ClJacqui our Homestay Coordinatoreary.  She is our Homestay Coordinator and Jacqui is responsible for finding all our homestay families and supporting our students living in the hostels.  This is a very important role and your happiness in your home is our priority.  Jacqui is also a mother of 3 children one of which attends Garin College.  She is also a trained nurse with experience in paediatric nursing so she is a great person to have in our team.

This is Jenny Borlase and she is our international teacher assistant. Jenny attends classes with the internationalJenny Borlase students when they need extra help in their mainstream classes. Jenny has 2 adult children of her own and has worked with international students at Garin for 8 years.

Nida JoyceThis is Mrs Nida Joyce. She is our English language teacher, she also helps the students in their other classes and she is responsible for their subject selection. Nida has many years experience teaching English and she is also a qualified High School Mathematics teacher. Nida has had time teaching English in Taiwan.
