Tasman Alliance are contracted to commence work on installing a new pedestrian refuge on Champion Road which will increase the safety of all pedestrians.
The minor safety upgrades are broken down into three stages – north side of the road, south side of the road and the centre of road. Each stage of the work will see different levels of traffic management implemented, including manual traffic control and footpath closures. Therefore, delays will be expected for school drop offs, pick ups and buses.
They are hoping to complete the upgrade by 17 June, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please refer to the diagram above.
