It is my absolute pleasure on behalf of Garin students, staff and community to congratulate our year 11 student Zac Griffiths on his outstanding success in the Smokefree Rockquest National Finals. With his original compositions, songwriting talent and performance of his songs “Back when tracks had trains”, “The way the
story goes”, and “The next town” Zac has been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ placing him in the Top 10 of the Rockquest National Solo-Duo Final. It is a privilege to have Zac regularly perform along with our many
wonderful talented musicians. I have to say one of Zac’s earlier songs ‘Back when tracks had trains’ is gaining legend status for students and staff, to hear the whole college sing along with Zac when this is performed is impressive.
