On Wednesday Garin entered a team in the Special Olympics basketball competition down at Saxton. There were 12 teams in total, some from as far away as Christchurch and Blenheim. Garin won division 2 with one draw and two wins. They were placed 4th over all the divisions in the skills competition and Ryan Turner-Maxwell was awarded the team player for Garin. Congratulations to all the students on their fair play and overall placing.
