Good luck to our crew of 12 rowers heading Twizel for the South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Championships this weekend. We wish all rowers from the top of the south at great regatta.
Archery
Best wishes to Year 13 student Hector McNeilly as he sets off for the USA to compete in international archery competitions in Las Vegas, Alabama and Florida.
Athletics:
Congratulations to Brooke Gilsenan who placed 1st in Discus and 3rd Shot Put at the Colgate Games held during the school holidays and set new Garin College records in both events.
Woodchopping:
We congratulate Brooke Gilsenan and Flynn Gilsenan who won the Jack N Jill Double Saw event at the recent Nelson Creek Woodchopping competition. Flynn also placed first in the underhand chop and came second in three other finals. Well done!
