What you need to know for Mahi Toi 2025:
Mahi Toi is our annual Arts Festival, and has been a focus at Garin since the school opened in 2002.
The Theme for 2025 – CLUEDO
Mahi Toi is about participation rather than competition but we still like a healthy element of House Competition.
This year House points will be for House Dance, House Karaoke, The Cluedo winners and Celebration Cakes (cake decorating)
Sign up for Mahi Toi events will be on the school home page/Arts website prior to the event and students will be notified in assembly when this opens. This year we have celebration cakes, photography/visual art, short films and performances for students to sign up for.

House Dance rehearsals have started and the students take this competition very seriously, class work still takes priority so rehearsals are held in lunch breaks, after school and on the weekend.
We will be having a Mahi Toi Showcase on the Thursday evening with a select group of performers. We like to showcase House Dance at this event.
Students/Performances will be selected by the Art Faculty for the Thursday concerts in advance.
This is a ticketed show and only a few door sales will be available. tickets at $5 per adult and $2 for students .
Tickets will be available at the school office from 12pm on Tuesday May the 27th.
Students who are performing or helping in the evening concert are not required to purchase a ticket, this includes students in House Dance, House Leaders and Tech Team.
We look forward to sharing with our community once more and hope you can join us for an evening of excellent performances.
