There are several exciting performance opportunities coming up in Term 4 and beyond.
If you are keen on any of the opportunities below, please read the instructions carefully regarding expression of interest.
1. Club Garin Colours Performance (Happening Soon!)
This is a fun, low-pressure performance opportunity. We encourage you to bring an uplifting piece to share in this supportive environment, perfect for gaining stage experience.
- Date & Time: Tuesday, 21 October, 1:45 pm – 3:15 pm (Week 3)
- Action: Simply speak to Mr Muir to secure your performance slot.
- Junior & Senior Prize Giving Ceremonies
We are looking for both junior and senior students who would like the opportunity to perform a polished piece at their respective Prize Giving ceremonies. This is a chance to perform to the whole school and wider community, demonstrating our commitment to Participation and excellence in the arts.
- Date: Friday, 5 December (Week 9) (Note: We require musical contributions for both Junior and Senior ceremonies.)
- Action: If you are interested, please email your expression of interest to Mr Muir at liammuir@garincollege.nz or speak to me in person.
- Deadline: Friday, 31 October. (Please note this is an early deadline to allow time for audition preparation.)
3. Auditions for 2026 Mass and Promo Bands
Looking ahead, we are scouting committed musicians and vocalists to form our Mass and Promotional Bands for the 2026 school year. These bands play a vital role in the spiritual and public life of the college, showcasing the principle of Service to our community.
- Action: If you would like to audition for either the Mass or Promo Band, please email your expression of interest to Mr Muir at liammuir@garincollege.nz.
