We celebrated the beginning of our Lenten journey with our Ash Wednesday Service. Father Seph led our celebration and shared with us the purpose of Lent, to come together as the Body of Christ and build on our relationship with God. Lent, for 2019 in Aotearoa has a focus towards our brothers and sisters in South Sudan and their current environment which is struggling with conflict and war. Ash Wednesday is an important time to come together as a faith community and support each other as we journey together towards Easter. Special thank you to the students who led this celebration through their reading, singing and organisation.
