A Fundraiser for Caritas GAZA
The students of Garin College invite your support for their 2025 Caritas Challenge, which is to live and eat simply for 6 hours on-site and a further 10 hours (including overnight) in their own homes.
Whether you support this through a participating child, or through a separate donation, it is a very worthy cause. Cardboard City is our opportunity to stand in solidarity with those who are experiencing extreme hardship. The money raised this year will go specifically to Caritas Gaza.
Date, Place & Time: Friday 12th September, 5-11 pm. The event will be held in the R-Block Atrium at Garin College including Rooms R4, R6 and R7. Only the participants and their immediate family should be on site during this event.
Schedule: This event involves planning and building cardboard shelters, eating plain cooked rice for dinner, a liturgy and time of reflection, plain popcorn for supper, and various games and activities. Our aim is to eat and live as simply as possible for 6 hours on-site and continue in that spirit as we return to our own homes overnight and throughout Saturday morning.
Cost: Please note that there is no cost for this event.
Registration:
Option 1: Use the Parent Registration link sent out to all Garin families through Kamar on 25th August. This is a google form.
