
Club Garin
Club Garin is similar to a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), an excellent way for parents to directly contribute to the school’s resources without the hassle of traditional fundraising events! Donations go directly to a dedicated school account, ensuring efficient management by the Business Manager and your committee. Having that donation clearly listed on the school invoice also makes it straightforward for parents to participate.
Having a dedicated and diverse group of volunteer parents on the Club Garin Committee, alongside the School Staff Rep and Business Manager, ensures a well-rounded perspective when considering funding applications. Applications are considered monthly against a set criteria and are dependent on the availability of funds.

Club Garin funding focusses on 5 core areas:
Arts: Shakespeare Festival, Show Quest, Mahi Toi, etc
Service: O’Shea Shield, Catholic events, community service, etc
Culture: Cultural Celebration Day, Matariki Hangi, Kapa Haka, Pasifika initiatives, etc
Sport: Entry fees for tournaments on the School Sport NZ calendar, sporting equipment and establishing new sports
Whole school initiatives: outdoor seating, chilled water fountains and other initiatives that will benefit all students
