Garin College triennial board elections are taking place this year.
Nominations are open for the election of five parent representatives to the Garin College school board.
The nomination form is available here. You can use this form to nominate yourself or someone in your community. Please note the information on who is not eligible to be a board member.
Nominations close at noon on Wednesday 3 August 2022. Completed applications can be delivered to the school office or emailed to: returningofficer@cloud.garincollege.ac.nz. Please provide a signed candidate statement (max of 250 words) and a colour head and shoulders photograph (.jpg file) with your nomination.
The Board meets every 5 to 6 weeks and is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the College, monitoring progress and overseeing the school’s budget. At its heart we seek to ensure that every student at Garin has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a safe environment. Board members are expected to uphold the Garin values as they consider issues and make decisions affecting the school.
If you are interested in standing and would like more information, please contact our current Board Chair, Chris Ward.
