Kia ora to all the Garin family.
I just wanted to let you all know that this year will be my last here at Garin College. My time has come to an end. I have deeply valued my experiences here, and have come to feel like a part of the family. I have met some wonderful and amazing people, students, teachers, and support staff alike. I have had lots of laughs and learnings, which in my view, make it a time well spent.
I have been here at Garin for the last 4 years, the first of which was my first placement as a student counsellor! Thank you all for being a part of my journey, and allowing me to be a part of yours. I feel as though you all have become a part of my community. You have shown me kindness, and aroha, which of course is a Garin College value. It is so refreshing to see and experience in a work place, and in a school environment.
It brings to mind my favourite whakatauki. He aroha whakato, He aroha putamai. If kindness is sown, kindness is what you receive.
Thank you, and I hope you all experience kindness and aroha, especially during the holidays.
Nga mihi
