The Junior Stretch and Challenge day was attended by more than 130 people, with 34 of them represented by Garin College students. Julie Arliss, the presenter from England is an international educator with a gift for making the complex simple, and the simple complex. She is committed to the provision of world-class extension activities to extend education well beyond the curriculum to new areas of knowledge. This year was no exception! Students listened to talks on Genetics and Epigentics, Is the meaning of life to be happy?, Does moral value exist?, and the debate, “This House believes that animals that cause significant damage may be culled.” Many students commented that this was more thinking they had done in one day than in their entire life!
