Care around Road Works
A reminder from Tasman Alliance who are contracted to commence work on installing a new pedestrian refuge on Champion Road, that pedestrians use the crossing points they have created for your safety – refer to pictures. Drivers are being distracted due to the road works themselves and there is large machinery operating with trucks coming in and out of site frequently. There are two crossing points available to use on Champion Road, one located at each end of the site.
Pedestrians are reminded to use the footpath detours rather than cutting through the work site, posing a risk to themselves and the work team.
