Garin College is a Catholic State Integrated co-education college recognised for its provision of education with excellence. Garin College is situated in the beautiful Tasman/Nelson region.
We seek a professional, innovative and enthusiastic Business Manager to join our collaborative and experienced Senior Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Principal, the purpose of this role is to provide leadership and coordination for the major non-teaching support areas of the college including finance, risk management (including insurance, health & safety and human resources) and property management. Knowledge and experience in management of Human Resourcing is desirable.
Primary responsibilities will involve leading strategic and operational business and financial planning and reporting, and ensuring the delivery of cost effective and service oriented support. The provision of well-formulated business advice and support to the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and the Garin Board will be essential aspects of the position.
The successful applicant will accept the condition to support, uphold and be positively involved in the special character of Garin College.
This is a pivotal role in the College. There will be opportunities for training and professional development. This position is covered by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement 2022 – 2024. (CA – Remuneration – Clause 3.1 Executive Management Group)
Position commencing 22 January 2024 or by negotiation with the Principal at the time of appointment.
