Tasman Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to Sebastian Fitzgerald who won the Year 9 boys TSS Cross Country Championships which were recently held at Saxton Athletic Fields. Well done Sebby on your awesome run in tough conditions!


Tennis ace Harry Pugh continues to excel on the courts. Earlier this year, Harry was selected to represent New Zealand as a member of the U16 Davis Cup team. Harry followed this up by competing in the ITF U18 Clay Court championships held in Australia, where he claimed a top 16 finish. Congratulations Harry on these outstanding achievements.

Table Tennis

Congratulations to Year 10 student Hannah McDonnell, who placed runner-up in the girls U15 division of the Marlborough Table Tennis Open and first place in the U15 doubles. Competing in the U18 division at the same event, Hannah placed first in the singles and runner-up in the doubles. Well done Hannah on these great results.


Swimmer Finn Russ continues to excel in the pool. Earlier this year Finn won a silver and two bronze medals at the National Age Group championships. Finn is a member of the New Zealand Para S14 team that is training for the Asia Oceania Virtus Games to be held in Brisbane in November. Keep up the good work Finn!


Congratulations to Year 9 student Lono Kalani, who competed at the National Age Group championships (long course) and qualified for 3 finals. Lono gained a top 5 finish each final and broke several Nelson-Marlborough records at the event. Well done Lono!
