Did you know that being an advocate for mental wellbeing or raising awareness is something that anyone can do?
Take for instance Jazz Thornton, who is a well known mental health advocate. She survived depression and suicidality as a teenager, and has grown up to be the voice for people all around the world, writing books and talking to young people about how they can overcome obstacles. You can learn more about her here.
Or there Ben. He is biking Australia, raising money for Headspace.
Change happens by raising awareness, so do not be afraid to speak out for what you believe in, or about issues that are important to you.
As the saying goes, be the change you want to see in the world.
Remember Shave for a Cure is on this month, do not forget to support everyone here at Garin that is doing it (we have a good sized team this year), and help raise money for a great cause. You can find more info, and donate here.
Have a great weekend,
Kate the Counsellor
