Kia ora Garin whānau
This week with the flooding and everything else happening in our community we thought a fitting theme for the newsletter this week would be ‘lending a hand’.
The oxford dictionary describes lending a hand as an assistance in an action or enterprise.
During the recent weather events within our community, it is ever more important to reach out to those in need and show some aroha and kindness. Acts of kindness have the potential to make the world a happier place. An act of kindness can boost feelings of confidence, being in control, happiness and optimism. Alongside this, kindness will also help to contribute to a more positive community. These actions reflect the Garin values, generosity and aroha. So lend a hand, show some kindness, to others, and to yourself.
