For our new year 9 students, Journey “Base Camp” at Whenua Iti Outdoors was an exciting and challenging outdoors experience for all this week. Our students experienced raft building, kayaking, high ropes, and trapeze all blended with exploration of faith through personal and group challenges and reflections. Following this successful Journey our students are well prepared for the year ahead having developed and built new friendships and relationships as a year level. Thank
you to our staff Tracy Stock, Mary Brodie, Sharlene Belcher, Judith Davies, Lindsey Furlong-Taylor, Pete Foster who traveled to camp and walked alongside and supported our students throughout their journey. I also thank Whea Sarah Rankin Year 9 Dean, who visited and Matua Simon Pimm for leading our new students in the Garin College Haka.
