Over the past three weeks the Justice and Ministry Team having been working hard to gather as many non perishable food items as possible. Students have led a bake sale, sausage sizzle, mufti day and a jelly bean counting competition. We have had an excellent response to our call to live out the Catholic Social Teaching Principles of Human Dignity and Option for the Poor and Vulnerable. Year Thirteen student Derek Dossmann led an ice cream for cans donation which helped to raise along with our Christian Service Leaders and Justice & Ministry Team members over 1200 cans and $500 to donate to St Vincent de Paul. Our Christian Service Leaders along with our Justice and Ministry Team were also interviewed by Nelson Weekly about their action and the work they have completed.
