Applications are now open for the Volunteer Nelson Youth Leaders Programme 2024.
Participants will work towards a Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work, which is worth 43 NCEA credits.
An interactive training programme has been developed and will be delivered by a team of experienced youth and community workers, who are affiliated to the Nelson Tasman Youth Workers Collective.
The main part of the training will be delivered at the Habitat Hub, Tāhunanui during the Easter school holidays, 15th – 19th April.
After the training week, participants will have six months to complete practical assignments, a project and mentoring a young person. The programme has had great success in recent years with young people being part of and coordinating a huge variety of amazing projects.
